The Media,
On this occasion of my second investiture, I see it to be less burden-ridden, breath-taking, and above all, shifting the burden of trust.
Hon. Presiding Member, under your leadership, you’ve been able to persuasively whip all members on line to sing one language in unison. Thus, 100% for continuity to speed up the developmental agenda set in motion by His Excellency, the president of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo-Danquah Akufo Addo.
Whereas some projects have been completed, some are nearing completion and others are in the offing. Suffice me to state emphatically, that the Zabzugu District Assembly has not been left out in the mantra- “The year of roads.” The Yendi-Zabzugu-Tatale Border stretch of the road has successfully been awarded on contract to the China Jianxi International Economic and Technical Corporation Company Limited. Work is yet to begin as the contractors’ Camp is busily being put up at Sabare No.1.
Hon. Members, as stated in my second and third quarter addresses respectively, works on the Zabzugu-NakpaliChichagi road are progressing steadily to have it tarred. Hon. Presiding Member, let me seize this opportunity to express my greatest gratitude to the Assembly, for the resounding endorsement you gave me, and by far, the president’s decision. This is a mark of good will and confidence you have reposed in me. This, to the largest extent, shows a tacit admission of my hard work. I am humbled by this and equally grateful to you.
The Regional Coordinating Council had been phenomenal to me during my first tenure, especially, when I found myself under the weather, albeit my ghastly accident period. The Honourable Regional Minister and his entourage, I thank you. To all my security personnel, both plain cloth and uniformed ones, the journey had not been smooth, but we collaboratively surmounted the rough edges. I thank you. My party, from the bottom of the structure to the top echelon, the council of Elders, my youth, I owe you all a great depth of appreciation.
Officers of the Electoral Commission, my revered chiefs, the media, I thank you. Don’t forget, anytime the sun pops out its golden head from the East and sends its rays through the crevices to the room, it is I who am saying thank you. Anytime the sun sets in the West, and the birds take control with their melodious songs, it is I who am saying, Thank you. Anytime the moon becomes bright, and the little children sing and play to glorify God, it is I who am saying, Thank you.
Once again, hon. Assembly members, I am grateful to you
